| June 1998: Mike Turtle
becomes the new drummer . Now the group is again an anglo-swiss group like once ago in
1969 as Mike Thackeray (Mersey Beats) joined the group. After Boelle Boerlin left the Countdowns the group had to look for another drummer. Mike Turtle - an old friend of Tommy Moeckel - was enthusiastic about the idea becoming a Countdowns drummer because he was a long time looking for a group matching his rhythm and blues roots. |
In fact Mike is a real bargain for the group 'cause he is probably one of the best professional drummer you can find these days. Mike was also the drummer of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. | ||
